Well, I have put about 90 miles on the tradmill and so far its everything I expected. So – I weigh about 210 lbs and run/walk for about an hour a day for the last month. I had my heart set on a Life Fitness model as that is what I used at my local gym. The Life Fitness model was about $6K and without a doubt this unit is on par with a high end Life Fitness model. I debated between the F80 and the F85 and given that I do run and plan to run about an hour a day. Sure, the F85 is reccommended for runners but given the great warranty – I figured I’d go with the F80.

Some Pros and Cons of the unit.

PROS
- Large running deck
- Easy to assemble
- Soft deck is great, very easy on the joints.
- Reasonably quiet
- Well built, sturdy

CONS
- Fan, or better yet, think of the fan that cools your computer. Not effective, not sure why they included the fans.
- Speakers, think built in computer speaker.

OK – so don’t put too much weight on the cons. I mean, this unit is built for running. One feature missing would be a nice ipod holder by the hand grips. I jury rigged something becasue I don’t want to run with something on my arm, but thats just me.
